Sigma have announced the 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art which will be available in Sony E Mount and L Mount. The full press release can be found here.

This lens was leaked several weeks ago and like many, I was real excited to see what it could offer. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed when I seen the size and weight of this lens. After the release of the Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM, myself and many were hoping the Sigma would be small and light too. Weighing in at 645g it pretty much matches the size and weight of the lens it replaced.

Regardless of this, I’m sure that for the price of $899 USD there will be many looking to purchase this lens.
