Today Nikon has announced the development of their new flagship body, the Z9. This will be a full frame mirrorless body with a CMOS sensor that promises a leap in performance and is due for release in 2021. There is very limited details available aside that it will feature a stacked CMOS sensor, new processor and 8k video. A full press release can be found here.
Although there is next to no details provided, this still has me excited. Although the top tier flagship bodies are out of my price range, I’m very happy to see Nikon focusing on Mirrorless. They haven’t had the best few years in terms of sales so I hope their Z9 can match the competition in terms of AF and help improve their financial situation.
