Like many hobbyists out there, I have more lenses than I realistically need to shoot what I do. In this episode of the Single Shot podcast, I’ll discuss how many lenses the average hobbyist actually needs.

Great topic, thank you for releasing the new episode! For any landscape/seascape/cityscape shooters, one main lens (wide angle zoom) plus a prime lens for occasional portraits (family, cats, etc.) is a good idea. Even an inexpensive prime like 50mm (f/1.8) comes in very handy and covers occasions like shooting people/pets with blurred background. It’s something 18-35 (f/3.5-4.5) can never do as well.
