Fuji Announces Their FujiFilm X-T4

Today Fuji have announced the release of the Fujifilm X-T4. The official press release can be found here.

When it comes to specifications, here are some of the highlights:

  • 26.1 Megapixel APSC X-Trans CMOS sensor
  • 5 axis in body image stabilization
  • 3 inch 1.62 million dot fully articulating rear screen
  • 30 FPS in electronic shutter and 15 FPS Mechanical
  • 3.69 millions dots OLED color electronic viewfinder

The images below show the front of the camera with the articulating screen out and the rear of the body.

This is a very nice looking camera and despite being more into full frame bodies, this is very tempting.

You can find some early preview videos from various YouTube channels below.

This body definitely looks like a great upgrade for any Fuji shooter. I really like the ergonomics of it and the image samples I’ve seen so far have been impressive. In saying that, I am a big believe of getting the best value for your money.

The price of the new Fuji X-T4 comes in at $2899 AUD for the body only. Considering I can get the Canon EOS R and Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 for $2747, it would be hard to choose the Fuji for my use. I really do prefer full frame bodies and have always wanted to own both a Canon and Sony body. I’ve also been tempted to try Fuji too and if I did want to get one, I think I would go for a more lower end body.
