Today Nikon have announced their Z6 II and Z7 II Full Frame mirrorless cameras. A detailed preview with the official press release can be found here.
Below are some preview videos for these newly announced cameras.
Although these upgrades aren’t anything revolutionary or ground breaking, they are important. The dual processors, improved AF performance and dual card slots do make a big difference. The only thing I can see that is really missing would be a fully articulating screen.
The interesting part is the pricing. The Z6 II and Z7 II will be released for $1,999.95 and $2999.95 respectively which is lower than the Canon R6 and about the same as the Sony A7III. This is sure to help with sales as it is very fair pricing and similar to their predecessors. I’ve personally never owned a Nikon DSLR or mirrorless body but their Z mount offerings are very appealing. If I had no gear at all, the Z6 II would definitely be a consideration.
Do you plan to get one of these new bodies? Or maybe an original Z6/Z7 now that the price will drop? Make sure to subscribe below if you want to be notified about new posts.
